After star quarterback Deshaun Watson played in only six games for the Cleveland Browns during his first season with the team, the franchise had high hopes he’d be able to bounce back in 2023 and help this squad become a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC.
Unfortunately, the 2023 NFL season was more of the same for Watson, as he went down with a season-ending shoulder injury, resulting in a second lost season by the team after investing a lot in the veteran quarterback to be the face of the franchise moving forward.
Although the Browns did better than expected with Watson and star running Nick Chubb, who also suffered a season-ending injury early in the season, Cleveland desperately wants to get this team healthy and prove the Browns can play with any team in the league.
Fortunately for the Browns, Watson is back on the football field and looking good and healthy ahead of the 2024 NFL season, where the team will be determined to be a force to be reckoned with, via Dov Kleiman.

Although Chubb’s injury was much more severe, and there’s no telling when he might get back on the field for the Browns, Cleveland could make some noise next season if Watson is finally able to stay upright, productive, and healthy during the 2024 campaign.
With Watson’s health becoming a question mark for an entire season, the Browns decided to bring in some insurance at the quarterback position by signing veteran Jameis Winston, which seems like a smart move going forward.
