At one point in time, Chase Claypool was thought to be one of the most promising young wide receivers in the NFL, with a bright future ahead as one of the primary receivers for Mike Tomlin’s Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately, Claypool has had a tendency to rub people the wrong way during his short career in the league thus far, which has resulted in him being moved multiple times.

After two and a half seasons with the Steelers, Claypool was traded to the Chicago Bears, where he was thought to get a fresh start and potentially become a star wide receiver in the Windy City.

Claypool’s stint with the Bears was shortlived, as he was moved to the Miami Dolphins last season, where he failed to make an impact, catching only four passes for 26 receiving yards.

Following a disappointing stint in Miami, Claypool has signed with another AFC East team, the Buffalo Bills, where he hopes to turn his career around, as he recently talked about his rough time in the NFL thus far via Jon Scott of WGRZ.

“It is tough believing in the player you are or can be and falling short of those expectations,” Claypool said.

Fortunately for Claypool, the Bills need a boost in the receiving corps, with the team recently trading superstar Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and letting Gabe Davis walk in NFL free agency, where he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

There’s a good chance Claypool will get an opportunity to shine in Buffalo, which could be his last chance to resurrect his NFL career.
