The Cardinals made the splash move to draft arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL Draft in Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 overall pick.

They also drafted speedy cornerback Max Melton out of Rutgers with the 43rd overall pick.

Melton recently chatted with the Arizona media about having to face Harrison Jr. in practice now.

“I’m so happy it worked out like this because I feel like he’s one of the best…He is the best wide receiver in this draft…Iron sharpens iron,” Melton said.

These two former Big Ten foes are now teammates, and the Cardinals should certainly benefit from that.

After finishing 4-13 a season ago, quarterback Kyler Murray is healthy, and this team added some elite talent through the draft.

Melton and Harrison Jr. should be real difference-makers for this franchise for years to come.

Starting with Melton, his 4.3 speed will allow him to stay on any skill player that he is defending.

That is what he is known for.

While at Rutgers, he recorded 22 pass deflections, 8 interceptions, and 4 fumble recoveries.

He has a nose for the football, and the Cardinals are hoping he is the next Patrick Peterson.

Everyone knows what they are getting in Harrison Jr.

The son of a Pro Football Hall-of-Famer, look for him to explode onto the scene.

He recorded back-to-back 1,200-yard seasons at Ohio State in 2022 and 2023, and he was a two-time Unanimous All-American.

Look for him to make fans out in the desert remember the days of Larry Fitzgerald.

He has the ability to be just like Larry Legend.

Melton and Harrison Jr. will without a doubt make each other better.
