There are a lot of juicy ideas for potential Super Bowl matchups this NFL season.
The number of good teams out there on paper is quite high, as are the aspirations of a lot of those teams.
Fox Sports host Craig Carton has an idea for a potential Super Bowl matchup that could immediately grab headlines.
“The Detroit Lions are loaded…Do not be surprised if the Detroit Lions are playing the New York Jets in the Super Bowl,” Carton recently said on The Carton Show.

Imagine Aaron Rodgers making the Super Bowl only to face the team that ended his career in Green Bay.
What an unbelievable matchup that would be.
An old gunslinger against an old rival.
Time will tell to see if both of those teams can make it that far.
On paper, these are two of the best teams in the entire NFL.
Both have great quarterbacks and talented offensive pieces.
Both have head coaches that have gritty, physical mindsets.
But, only the Lions themselves have actually put it all together and made a deep playoff run.
The New York Jets, with a healthy Aaron Rodgers, are one of the best teams on paper.
There is no doubt that these teams have a chance to be on a Super Bowl collision course.
Teams like the 49ers, Lions, Eagles, and possibly the Packers could all come out of the NFC.
Teams like the Chiefs, Jets, Ravens, and possibly the Texans could all come out of the AFC.
One thing is for sure.
If any of these teams match up against each other in February, the NFL will be the real winner.
