Analyst Makes A Bold Claim About Jalen Brunson

The New York Knicks have one of the biggest — if not the biggest — fan bases in all sports.

However, despite their huge market share, they’ve rarely been a contending team.

That may have finally changed, and Jalen Brunson has plenty to do with that.

The Villanova product has been a silent assassin since he arrived in the Big Apple, taking the bull by the horns and leading the team to the second-best record in the Eastern Conference this season.

More than that, he’s risen to the occasion in the clutch over and over.

That’s why three out of four analysts on “Get Up” agreed that he’s been the most impressive player of the playoffs thus far, even ahead of Anthony Edwards.

With that in mind, Tim Legler claimed that he’s the best closer in New York since Mariano Rivera.

Just like the Yankees’ legendary closer, Brunson has had ice in his veins when it comes to knocking down shots in crunch time, scoring 43 minutes in the clutch and being +16 in those minutes.

Brunson has been remarkable on both ends of the floor during this playoff run, and even though opposing teams know he’s going to take all shots when the game is on the line, they still haven’t been able to stop him.

However, whether he’s been more impressive than Edwards might be a different story, as the Minnesota Timberwolves are still undefeated after six games, and they’re fresh off stealing back-to-back road games at the defending champion’s home.
