The obvious superstar talent of the Kansas City Chiefs is the main reason why the team has won three Super Bowls in five years, but you can’t win at that clip without having a strong locker room culture.

That culture was on display in a recent episode of Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, as Travis responded to a playful jab his star defensive tackle Chris Jones took at him in a recent press conference.

In a recent press conference, Jones was asked about retirement and said he isn’t close to thinking about that yet and acknowledged that he has plenty of years left, though he can’t say the same for Travis, as he mentioned “Travis is pretty f****** old.”

Kelce said he is only three years older than Jones, but really the two are five years apart, though Kelce agreed that he doesn’t think about retirement yet and will deal with it when the time comes.

Kelce expounded on the topic and acknowledged that there are always thoughts during tough days when you’re in pain, but said that as long as he’s able to compete at a high level and have success that retirement isn’t something he thinks about.

Kelce is coming off his worst statistical season in a long time with 93 catches for 984 yards and five touchdowns, which broke his string of seven consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons, though he did miss two games and the Chiefs offense overall had a bit of a down year.

Hopefully Travis has plenty of years left on the gridiron.
