The Dallas Mavericks will try to close out their series against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday evening.

They are up 3-2 over the Thunder and just a single win away from advancing to their second Western Conference Finals in the last three seasons.

On ESPN, Stephen A. Smith predicted the Mavericks would get the job done this weekend and take down the Thunder.

He also said a huge part of their win will be because of Kyrie Irving, who he expects will score “40 or 50.”

Smith had a lot of praise for Irving and his work alongside Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic.

Still, he thinks Irving has more to show and is on the verge of giving fans a breakout game that will hurt his opponent.

Smith said that Irving has been “lurking” and waiting for the right moment to strike and show why he’s such a competitive and beloved future Hall of Famer.

Perhaps Game 6 will be the chance he’s been waiting for.

During this series, Irving has averaged 14.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists.

However, for the season, he scored 25.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.

Therefore, some people think he has more offensive power to show and could take his game to the next level soon.

Irving has been mostly lackluster during the last two games, scoring just 9 and 12 points, respectively.

Despite that, the Mavericks have been able to take a crucial 3-2 lead in this series.

Regardless of how Irving plays, Dallas might still have the advantage in Game 6.

But everyone agrees that the team will have a much better chance of winning if Irving shows up and plays like the eight-time All-Star he is.
