The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t made any extensive moves in the current offseason and some fans are starting to wonder if they will ever commit a trade or acquisition this summer.

Speaking about the team’s “silent” free agency on “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless said he’s actually glad the Lakers didn’t sign DeMar DeRozan, who recently moved to the Sacramento Kings.

He also said he was a bit surprised that Klay Thompson didn’t choose the Lakers over the Dallas Mavericks, but he also didn’t blame the former Golden State Warriors star.

Bayless hasn’t lost faith that the Lakers will make moves but he also isn’t holding his breath, for a number of reasons.

Bayless felt that the DeRozan wouldn’t have been a great fit for the Lakers.

He is a bit older and probably wouldn’t contribute a whole lot alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

In the end, the Kings were a better fit for him, according to Bayless.

When it comes to the Thompson, Bayless thinks the four-time champion likely chose the Mavericks because the team is further along in its quest to win a championship.

Additionally, Bayless told viewers that Thompson has never been wowed by James like other NBA stars, such as Draymond Green.

The idea of playing with James wasn’t enough to attract Thompson, especially with a first-time head coach, JJ Redick.

The Lakers are now without many options and free agency is getting closer and closer to being over.

Will Los Angeles make any changes before the offseason concludes?
