Of all the legends who have played in the NBA, there has perhaps not been a singular force more powerful and explosive than Shaquille O’Neal.

There has never been a combination of pure strength and skill compared to what Shaq brought to the hardcourt, and it was a joy to watch defenders helplessly attempt to keep his massive frame away from the goal.

A very interesting question recently arose when Shaq was asked which current NBA team he would like to play for if he discovered the Fountain of Youth and could wow another generation of basketball fans.

The legendary Shaq told Clutch Points that he would most like to suit up for Golden State if he were back in uniform in 2024.

O’Neal proclaimed, “You’d have to double me, Draymond [Green] would average 10 more points…And I’d kick it out to Steph [Curry] and Klay [Thompson], and nobody would beat us.”

"If you could put yourself on any current NBA roster, which would it be?”

It is sometimes forgotten that O’Neal suited up for six different franchises during his 20-year NBA career, as his stellar achievements are mostly remembered from his playing days with the Los Angeles Lakers.

It was there that Shaq averaged 27.0 points per game and pulled down 11.8 rebounds per contest.

More importantly, it was also there that he was immortalized in the Lakers dynasty, which cut down the nets after four NBA titles.

Just for fun, it is easy to see a rejuvenated O’Neal trotting up and down the court in a Warriors uniform, giving opposing teams fits as a force in the middle for which no one has an answer.
