It sounds like Aaron Holiday’s first season with the Houston Rockets may be his last.

According to Kelly Iko, via NBACentral, Holiday’s time with the Rockets could be coming to an end.

“I think Aaron Holiday will leave the Rockets this summer,” Iko reported, proving that the team is looking to improve even more this summer after a promising 2023-24 season.

Holiday joined the team last summer and participated in 78 games this season.

During that time, he averaged 6.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.

He joined the league in 2018 and has played for the Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, and Atlanta Hawks before reaching the Rockets.

When he signed onto the team last offseason, people were curious how he would fit into the plans that head coach Ime Udoka was creating.

It seems that he was never able to fit into the lineup in the ways that he wanted so Holiday could be on the move.

If the Rockets move away from Holiday, it is just proof that they are making more changes and aren’t content to slow down.

They weren’t able to reach the playoffs this season but they showed a ton of promise and it’s clear that their future is very bright.

With a few more additions to the roster and some more time to adjust to Udoka’s plans, the Rockets could be a very special team in the West in a short amount of time.

Saying goodbye to Holiday could open the door for those new additions that could help the team reach their next level.

Holiday is 27 years old and will probably find another team to play for soon.

But it seems like time on the court for the Rockets is wrapping up.
