Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has shown in his brief head coaching career to be one of the league’s most positive, easy-going, and unique personalities the league has to offer, and he hasn’t left much room to criticize his way of doing things because he is winning games.

Winning earns you a longer leash in the NFL, but McDaniel isn’t satisfied, and his new unusual way of scheduling team meetings is done in a way that is intended to remind everyone in the franchise about an important milestone.

Dov Kleiman shared a clip of a recent McDaniel press conference where he shared that he schedules every offseason staff meeting to start at the 24th minute of the hour in order to remind everyone that it’s been 24 years since the Dolphins have won a playoff game.

The Dolphins made the playoffs last season but suffered an early exit at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, losing 26-7 in one of the coldest games in NFL history.

The loss continued a disturbing trend in the McDaniel era that added fuel to the fire of people criticizing the team for being unable to win in cold weather or beat teams with records above .500.

In order to get to the next level, the team has to overcome both of those obstacles.
