For most of the past two decades, LeBron James has been the main face of the NBA, with guys like Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry also challenging him for that distinction.
As a matter of fact, this is the first time in 20 years that we don’t have either LeBron, Curry, or Kevin Durant in the second round of the playoffs.
Needless to say, that means the league needs to find a new face.
With that in mind, former NFL star LeSean McCoy believes Anthony Edwards is the obvious choice.
Talking on FOX’s Speak, the former running back claimed that Edwards doesn’t only have the talent and the game, but he also has the swagger and the attitude.

He believes Edwards is more than a dog, calling him a legitimate wolf, adding that the NBA had been missing that demeanor for quite a while.
He compared it to Michael Jordan in the sense that he’s also a relentless competitor who embraces that persona and that competitiveness of going against the best players on Earth on both ends of the floor at a time when NBA players are always looking to partner up and be friends with each other.
Edwards is the most entertaining player to watch right now, so this isn’t far-fetched to think about at all.
And with that old-school attitude, even some of his older colleagues agree that he’s got that it factor you need to be the face of the league.
