All eyes were on Jamal Murray Friday night before Game 3 between his Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Nuggets were down 2-0 and Murray had just been through a very rough few days.

But he came out with a fire in his belly and scored 24 points, shooting 52.4% from the floor.

Because of his great work, the fans in Denver were raining down boos on Murray but he was more than okay with that.

“I probably deserved the boos. I’m not shying away from it. But it was a lot of fun to go out there and embrace the challenge,” told the press after the game, via DNVR Nuggets.

A lot happened to Murray between Games 2 and 3.

Not only was his team in a very dangerous 0-2 hole, but Murray was under fire for throwing a heating pad on the court during the height of the last game.

That move cost Murray $100,000 and almost earned him a suspension.

Additionally, his response to the fine was met with a negative reaction from many analysts and fans, who said he downplayed what he did and skirted responsibility.

Things would have only gotten worse if the Nuggets lost on Friday.

But Murray was looking in fine form and a lot better than he has been lately.

Both he and Nikola Jokic scored a team-high 24 points and looked far more comfortable than they had in the first two games of the series.

The Timberwolves just couldn’t keep up and ended up with a 117-90 loss.

Now the series is close to even and the Timberwolves have one more game before heading back to Denver.

The stakes couldn’t be any higher and Murray just proved that he is fired up and ready to play hard again.

That means that all Timberwolves fans are afraid of what might come next.

Because of that, the boos are sure to continue.
