Now that the Los Angeles Lakers have hired their new head coach, they have to decide what roster changes they will make this summer.

There is no doubt that adding JJ Redick isn’t the only thing the Lakers will do in the offseason.

Speaking to Pat McAfee, Shams Charania said that the “pressure is on” for the Lakers to beef up the roster.

He mentioned that the team could once again focus on getting Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks, which would do a lot to make the Lakers play more like the champion Boston Celtics.

"The pressure is on the Lakers front office to make changes to this roster..

They have to be aggressive and I think Dejounte Murray will come up in trade conversations"@ShamsCharania #PMSLive

Charania noted how the Celtics have a roster full of players who can play well both offensively and defensively.

Their starting five doesn’t have a weak link and is capable of creating points and also shutting down opponents.

That may be a model for the Lakers and other teams.

If Los Angeles wants to improve, Murray could be a great addition.

Obviously, the team has wanted him for a while and attempted to land him last season before the trade deadline in February.

At the time, Atlanta didn’t want to lose Murray but things may have changed since then.

The team is on the verge of acquiring the top pick in next week’s draft and they have to figure out what they are going to do with the players they have now.

There have been many rumors about either Murray or Trae Young leaving the team and if they commit to breaking that duo apart, the Lakers could capitalize.

The Lakers have had their eye on Murray for some time and they might finally acquire him this summer.
