Former NFL GM Says ‘The Sky Is The Limit’ For Young QB

After sending four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets in a blockbuster trade ahead of the 2023 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers decided to hand the keys over to quarterback Jordan Love to lead the team in the future.

Much like when the team moved on from Hall of Famer Brett Favre and put their faith in Rodgers, Love was unproven, and there was much uncertainty about whether he was the real deal under center.

Unfortunately for Love, the first half of his first season as the Packers starting quarterback didn’t start well, as Green Bay didn’t look like a team that could compete in the NFC with a potentially long rebuilding process getting underway.

However, the second half of the season was a different story entirely, with Love quickly turning the corner and showing his doubters that he was indeed the real deal and potentially one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

NFL insider Mike Tannenbaum believes that the sky is the limit for Love and if he were running an NFL team right now he’d take Love to build around if he couldn’t have Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs via NFL on ESPN.

“Outside of Patrick Mahomes, if we … were running an NFL team today, there is nobody on the planet I’d rather have than Jordan Love,” Tannenbaum said.

The real question now is whether Love can follow up a breakout season with another solid campaign during the 2024 NFL season and take the Packers deeper in the NFL playoffs.

Only time will tell if Love has what it takes to be a successful quarterback in this league long-term and whether he can win a Super Bowl like Favre and Rodgers did before him.
