One of the biggest contract situations and futures that is being chatted about right now is that of Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson.

The 34-year-old’s future has been up in the air since he started coming off of the bench this past year.

However, new details have been revealed recently about Thompson’s NBA future.

According to ESPN’s Tim McMahon, the Warriors have offered Thompson a two-year deal.

Now, Thompson is looking for a three-year deal and both sides have a week to find common ground before Thompson hits the open market.

This has been a magical run for Thompson and the Warriors over the last decade or so.

They have won four championships and made the NBA Finals six times.

Steph Curry will get the headlines as the greatest shooter in NBA history.

But, Thompson himself is also one of the greatest shooters in league history too.

He has been one of the league’s most under-appreciated superstars for a while, even if his play and health have dropped off a bit.

Perhaps Golden State is operating under the notion that if Curry and former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green are in the fold, then Thompson should be too.

This team is just two seasons removed from their fourth NBA Finals run.
