The Cleveland Browns have an opportunity in front of them to contend for a Super Bowl.

An 11-win team from a season ago, Cleveland has a lot of quality pieces on both sides of the ball that make them quite formidable.

One of those quality pieces is five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper, who has not reported to mandatory minicamp.

Franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson recently spoke about where Cooper ranks among the league’s best receivers in front of the Cleveland media.

“He’s showed it each and every year…I think you have to put him up there, if not the best,” Watson stated, per Mary Kay Cabot.

Cooper could be looking at this time as opportunity to gain some more stability in his current situation.

After seeing some wide receivers around the league like Vikings All-Pro Justin Jefferson and Cooper’s own teammate in Jerry Jeudy get paid, perhaps he would like a new deal.

The former Alabama star has been one of the more underrated stars in the game over his career.

He has eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving seven times in nine years with three different teams and multiple quarterbacks.

He doesn’t get hurt very often and has never played in fewer than 14 games in a season.

If the Browns are going to go anywhere in 2024, they will need all of their best players available.

The 29-year-old is still an elite wide receiver.

His numbers speak for themselves.

It will be up to the Browns to resolve the situation before the relationship runs its course and hurts the team.
