The NBA is unique compared to the other major sports in the United States.

A significant portion of NBA fandom is driven by someone’s favorite players, and there is less allegiance to particular teams.

For instance, if a fan grows fond of Kyrie Irving, they might automatically become a fan of whatever team he gets traded to.

This player-driven fandom has resulted in significant NBA jersey sales and has put NBA players on a pedestal in comparison to players in other major professional leagues.

With this in mind, the NBA Summer League recently put out a graphic with a few of “Tomorrow’s Stars” on it.

Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Brunson are prominently featured on the graphic, and both players have already made a considerable impact on the league.

Fans were interested to see that, alongside Brunson and Wembanyama was Bronny James, who was pictured “front and center,” as Ben Golliver pointed out on Twitter.

James has received considerable media attention in the weeks following the NBA Draft, largely due to who his father is.

He wasn’t a highly-touted recruit coming out of USC, and there were questions if James would be drafted in the first place.

The Los Angeles Lakers decided to take a chance on him, if for no other reason than to pair him with his father.

There is now a lot of hype surrounding the Lakers, as well as some built-in criticism if this draft pick doesn’t pan out as well as they are hoping for.
