The Los Angeles Lakers have lost their mojo.

What once was a prime destination for free agents has no longer been as appealing as it used to be, and it might take a while before that’s the case again.

At least, that’s how NBA analyst Lance Medow thinks.

Talking on Mad Dog Sports Radio, he stated that the Lakers have ‘overwhelming’ question marks ahead of the upcoming season.

"That's a team with overwhelming question marks."@LanceMedow explains why the Lakers aren't a premiere free agent destination this #NBA offseason.

He claimed that it wasn’t a surprise to see that, once again, they failed to lure any big-name free agents to Crypto.Com Arena, as they’re simply not what they used to be.

Medow added that it may have been an easy choice for Klay Thompson, who saw that the Dallas Mavericks have Nico Harrison calling the shots, are fresh off a trip to the NBA Finals, and have Jason Kidd as their coach.

The Lakers, on the other hand, will have their seventh head coach in 13 years, one of which doesn’t even have any sort of coaching experience.

Medow also argued that LeBron James’ overwhelming influence has made the Lakers’ logo not mean what it used to mean when it comes to free agents, as teams know that they’re not in a position to succeed and win an NBA championship.

Jeanie Buss has made her fair share of questionable decisions in charge of the team, and while keeping LeBron around may have been what his father wanted in terms of keeping the prestige or caché of the organization, it has severely hampered their ability to be a competitive team.
