Analyst Says Klay Thompson Can Prove The Warriors Wrong

The Golden State Warriors are heading into the future without one of the best players in franchise history.

Klay Thompson will no longer be in the Bay area.

He took his talents to the Dallas Mavericks after feeling disrespected by the team that drafted him in 2011.

With that in mind, NBA analyst Alan Hahn believes he will have plenty of reasons to be at his best in the next step of his career.

Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Hahn claimed that success is the best revenge, and Thompson knows he has a better chance to win another NBA championship with the Mavericks.

Hahn stated that Thompson saw just how much the Mavericks struggled from three-point range in the NBA Finals, and he also knows that he’s going to have a big opportunity to make an impact and stretch the floor next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

The Warriors, on the other hand, didn’t even make the playoffs last season, and it’s hard to think of them being a better team right now.

While Thompson and Chris Paul weren’t at their best last season, the Warriors haven’t even replaced them yet, and judging by the current picture and how other teams have shut them down in trade proposals, they might not be able to do so this offseason.

Judging by what has transpired, this wasn’t a friendly breakup, at least not on Thompson’s end.

We know he’s a competitive player, and he’s going to have both games against his former team marked on his calendar for months.
