Analyst Has A Strong Message For JJ Redick After Taking Lakers Job

Once the Los Angeles Lakers were knocked out of the NBA playoffs by the Denver Nuggets for a second straight year, the team’s brass quickly decided what to do with head coach Darvin Ham.

Apparently, Ham had lost the locker room long before the team was beaten by the Nuggets in the playoffs, with superstar Anthony Davis having tuned him out and not happy with the situation because of Ham’s questionable decision-making.

Ham lost the locker room and rubbed Davis the wrong way, so the Lakers parted ways with him after only two seasons with the team, even though he had coached the team to the Western Conference Finals a year earlier.

Ironically enough, the Lakers made a questionable decision to replace Ham as the leader on the sideline in Los Angeles, choosing to hire former player and ESPN analyst JJ Redick.

With Redick having no coaching experience whatsoever, the decision has come with a lot of criticism, and understandably so, as this is a move that rebuilding a team with no expectations would make.

As a result of the controversial hire, the media, including ESPN’s Paul Hembekides, is chiming in and giving their two cents on the subject.

“Invest fully into the job,” Hembekides said.

At this point, Redick has no choice but to fully invest in his job, as pressure will be on immediately, and everyone is waiting for him to fail.

It will be a tall task for Redick to be successful in this job, which is arguably one of the most challenging in professional sports, but he’s been given a vote of confidence and has an opportunity to prove his doubters wrong.
