The Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the most highly discussed teams in the NBA over the past several weeks.

After they fired Darvin Ham, many fans and analysts have speculated on who their next head coach might be.

J.J. Redick was initially believed to be the front-runner for this role, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

Recent reports have indicated that Dan Hurley is in the team’s best interest to take over as head coach, given his success at the collegiate level.

While there are a few reasons for hiring Hurley, Chris Carlin recently outlined his take on the Lakers’ primary motivation.

“They are hiring Bronny’s next head coach. I believe that’s what this is,” Carlin said.

Bronny James is a polarizing NBA Draft prospect.

Some believe that he has a lot of potential given the name on the back of his jersey, while others aren’t convinced that he’ll be a good pro.

If he does join a team, the Lakers could make sense, as he could be joining his father, hopefully, to fulfill their dream of playing together in the NBA.

Hurley could be a great coach to bring them together, as Carlin pointed out in this video.

The Lakers need to make a lot of changes if they want to be a contender next year.

Bronny could certainly provide a certain spark to this roster, but he could also be a distraction, given all of the hype surrounding him in his young career.
